EDJC 2021 > Poland > Concert for the exhibition “Flavors of Sefarad”

Concert for the exhibition “Flavors of Sefarad”

From 17th to 30th of June and from the 2nd of August until 30rd of October, the Instituto Cervantes of Krakow, in collaboration with Red de Juderías de España, will be hosting the exhibition “Tastes and Aromas from Sefarad”. The exhibition takes a journey through the history of Sephardic gastronomy, the Jewish people of Spain who had to go into exile in the 15th century. The exhibition also pays tribute to the Jewish woman, whose importance in the Jewish gastronomic tradition is essential. More information in the following link: https://www.saboresdesefarad.com/making-of-como-creamos-la-exposicion-sabores-y-aromas-de-sefarad/ For this reason, taking advantage of the presence of the exhibition, the Spanish Tourist Office in Poland, together with the Instituto Cervantes of Krakow, will organize, on the occasion of the European Day of Jewish Culture, a concert of Sephardic music. The objective is to invite attendees to learn more about Sephardic culture and encourage them to dream and travel to learn about the Sephardic legacy that is still very present in Spain. The concert will be offered by a local group of Jewish music at the Instituto Cervantes in Krakow (Ul. Kanonicza 12). Entrance free of charge until the venue reaches full capacity.
