📌 Breda, the Netherlands – 𝑵𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝑹𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕
Last Tuesday, May 7th, took place in Breda, the Netherlands, the second transnational meeting of the NEXT Routes project, led by La Rotta dei Fenici – Itinerario Culturale del Consiglio d’Europa, in cooperation with ATRIUM – Architecture of the Totalitarian regimes of the XX Century in Europe’s Urban Memory route, The Routes of the Olive Tree, Mozart Ways, and the Iron Age Danube Route, the Breda University of Applied Sciences and Mobile Idea. With the Breda University of Applied Sciences as hosts, the route managers of the routes certified by the Council of Europe who participated in the working session presented the results of the working groups developed within our networks, for the codefinition of the training methodology for increasing the digital skills of the members of the cultural routes.
In the case of the AEPJ, the discussions held had the participation of the following routes: the Jewish Heritage Route in the Burgenland (Austria), The Jewish Heritage Route through Belarus, Rashi Medieval Route in Champagne (France), The European Route of Judaism on the Rhineland (France and Germany), Between Harz, Heath and Weser Jewish life in central Lower Saxony (Germany), The Jewish Heritage Route in Greece, The Shtetl Route (Poland), Maramures & Bukovina Family Roots Journeys (Romania) and concluded in shared priorities with other routes such as the cohesion between the routes, the capacity to identify the suitable tools for the narratives development and the connection between both the route’s narratives and the new opportunities gamification entails.
Beyond the presentation of process results so far, work was done on the projection of the next steps for the development of the gamification tool and other aspects of coordination and communication of the project.
The next steps of NEXT Routes will take us to Castevetrano, Sicily, in November 2024, to implement training aimed at training members in methodologies for the use of digital resources and gamification.
