EDJC 2021 > Croatia > Morpurgo family
Born from a collaboration between the Municipal Museum of Split and Slovenian research center “Sinagoga Maribor” in 2018, it gives an insight to the unique Morpurgo family. The Morpurgo are originally from the Slovenian city of Maribor and got their name from the German version of the city name, Marburg, in the 15th century. Members of the Morpurgo family migrated towards Dalmatia (Croatia) and other regions. The exhibition illustrates the paths the Morpurgo took and the contribution with their lives and activities in various areas such as politics, medicine, science, sports, research etc. The exhibition is thoroughly documented with beautiful pictures.
