“Musikalischer Dialog”: Kammermusik von Fanny und Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy und Robert und Clara Schumann

" " "Musical dialogue" ": Chamber music by Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Robert and Clara Schumann

Concert with Jochen Brusch, (violin), Nicola Pfeffer (cello) and Alexander Reiterbach (piano)
Mendelssohn and Schumann are among the most famous representatives of German Romanticism. Both men had highly talented women in the closest family circle: Fanny Hensel was Felix Mendelssohn's sister and Clara Wieck was Robert Schumann's wife. Both women created enchantingly beautiful music in the shadow of these men, which received little attention during their lifetime and which has found it difficult to establish itself adequately in the musical world to this day. In our concert we let the two couples enter into an interesting musical dialogue. We hear parts of Felix's bubbly D minor trio, Robert's highly poetic fantasy pieces, Fanny’s expressive music and Clara’s intimate miniatures. Well known to the Hechingen audience are the pianist Alexander Reiterbach and the violinist Jochen Brusch. The two have now teamed up with the rousing, young cello virtuoso Nicola Pfeffer to expand the repertoire and to enrich the sound with the warm cello tone. One can hope for an intense musical experience. Admission: € 20 / reduced € 15 / schoolchildren and students € 5 www.alte-synagoge-hechingen.de ellernmede.org https://ellernmede.org
