The southwestern corner of the walled city of Córdoba has been the most transformed over the centuries. The construction of a late-ancient castellum was the origin of a series of fortified enclosures that continued until the late Middle Ages. Among them, the primitive Umayyad Alcázar and its later extensions from the Almohad period stand out. It is precisely in one of these extensions where the so-called Castillo de la Judería was later located, a suburban neighborhood where some Jewish families settled after the Christian Conquest.
Through this route we will learn about the evolution of this important sector of the city, including construction landmarks such as the Puerta de los Sacos bridge, the Torre de Belén or the wall lines that delimited some of these areas.
A perfect setting to establish a historical and cultural dialogue between Muslims, Jews and Christians.
