Family, documentary exhibition of the National Library of Israel

"Family" is a theme in European Jewish culture with varying dimensions and depth, which also includes the enduring influence of tradition, from the biblical narratives of patriarchs and matriarchs to the timeless commandment "Honour your father and mother." This tradition still shapes modern family life and family, roles and patterns, and connects the past with the present. In addition to presenting the rich material held by the National Library of Israel and many other related institutions, the authors of the Family exhibition also spoke about various aspects of family life: family values, the history of individual families and how this history defines an individual family, the creation of a family and the relationship between parents and children, family traditions, and (forced) separations and reunions. the concept of chosen families and the role of families who have changed the world. The Family exhibition will be on display at the Synagogue Maribor until the 29 November 2024.

Gostujoča dokumentarna razstava Narodne knjižnice Izraela

»Družina« je v evropski judovski kulturi tema z različnimi razsežnostmi in globino, ki obenem vključuje tudi trajen vpliv izročila, od svetopisemskih pripovedi o patriarhih in matriarhinjah do brezčasne zapovedi »Spoštuj očeta in mater.«. To izročilo še vedno oblikuje sodobno družinsko življenje in družino, vloge in vzorce ter povezuje preteklost s sedanjostjo. Avtorji razstave Družina so ob predstavitvi bogatega gradiva, ki ga hranijo Narodna knjižnica Izraela in mnoge druge sorodne ustanove, v razstavi spregovorili tudi o različnih vidikih družinskega življenja: o družinskih vrednotah, o zgodovini posameznih družin in kako ta zgodovina določa posamezno družino, o ustvarjanju družine ter odnosu med starši in otroki, o družinskih tradicijah ter o (prisilnih) ločitvah in ponovnih snidenjih, konceptu izbranih družin in vlogi družin, ki so spremenile svet. Razstava Družina bo v Sinagogi Maribor na ogled do 29. novembra 2024.
