On the trail of Jewish life in Ettelbruck – Open day on 29 September from 2pm to 5pm

"Beginning from the middle of the 19th century, the Jewish community played a major role in the industrial, commercial and cultural development of the town of Ettelbruck and the entire region. The Nazi occupation sought not only to destroy lives, but also to erase all historical traces of this community. The restoration of the synagogue is part of our efforts to re-establish the memory of Jewish life in Luxembourg and particularly in Ettelbruck."
(Quote from Abbes Jacoby, president of the association "Al Synagog Ettelbréck" (translation from the French article published in the Wunnen magazine nr 87 April/May 2024: https://www.wunnen-mag.lu/fr/magazine/numeros/87.htm)
