Helena graduated in Anthropology and Italian Language, as well as studying singing and harp at the National Conservatory of Music in Lisbon. Between 2006 and 2015 she was the vocalist of the world music group MU, with which she recorded the album "Casanostra" in 2009 and "Folhas que Ardem" in 2012 and with which she performed live in some of the most prestigious music venues. of the world: the “Plasencia Folk Festival”, the “Sines World Music Festival”, the “Sufi Sutra” of India or the “Penang World Music Festival” of Malaysia, among others. In 2014 the Portuguese singer and harpist embarked on her solo career with her first solo album “Da voz do Embondeiro” delving into the roots of the music of the medieval period of the Iberian Peninsula. Helena Madeira has continued with her research and dissemination of traditional music until she has outlined her second album, which with the title “Cenário Divergente”, has seen the light in 2020. She will perform the concert entitled "Eternal Melodies of Sepharad" whose repertoire includes traditional Sephardic songs and some traditional Portuguese that will delight those attending this concert.
