Next week, three public events across Europe will spotlight some of the most inspiring educational initiatives developed within the European project Mi Dor Le Dor Europe (MDLDE).
MDLDE (“From Generation to Generation”) is an EU-funded project supported by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme. AEPJ is proud to be a partner in this initiative, alongside the Taube Center for Jewish Life & Learning, Centropa Germany, and Jewish Heritage Network, within the framework of the European Routes of Jewish Heritage.
The project explores how education in Jewish heritage can raise public awareness of Jewish life in Europe, recognising it as an integral part of the continent’s cultural diversity, past and present. Out of more than 225 participants in the programme, 72 project proposals were submitted. The final presentations will highlight selected best practices developed by trained cultural mediators across Europe — demonstrating innovative ways to make Jewish heritage accessible, relevant and meaningful today.

The Spanish final presentation will bring together cultural mediators, educators, heritage professionals and institutional representatives for an open session showcasing best practices developed by Spanish participants.
Speakers include AEPJ’s Marc Francesch Camps (European Routes of Jewish Heritage), alongside trainers Sara Juchnowicz and Moisés Hassan-Amselem. The session will highlight how Jewish heritage can be effectively integrated into educational settings, how Holocaust memory can be addressed in contemporary contexts, and how minority histories contribute to plural and complex national identities.

This is a valuable opportunity to connect with cultural and educational professionals working to strengthen Jewish heritage as an inseparable part of European culture.

The Rome presentation will take place on Tuesday 24 at 18:00 at the National Library of Italian Judaism and will gather key actors from the Italian cultural and educational landscape to showcase outstanding initiatives emerging from the MDLDE training process. The final presentation of the series will be held in Strasbourg on Thursday 26 at 16:00 (venue TBC), concluding the European programme of events and further reinforcing cross-border cooperation and exchange among heritage and education professionals.
