From the moment we became aware of the war situation in Ukraine, AEPJ members have been in contact to provide assistance in a coordinated manner to both members of the association on Ukrainian territory and those in neighbouring countries who are providing humanitarian services to refugees. We list below the actions that are being carried out as well as the indications to support these actions.
We want to thank and honour the work and support that all AEPJ members are doing in these difficult times and we invite and encourage you to collaborate with them through the following channels.
The Board of Trustees of Heritage Springs has temporarily suspended work on the Jewish Museum to concentrate efforts on assisting Ukrainian refugees arriving in cities within the Maramorosh area of Western Ukraine.
The area is in the Zakarpattia Oblast bordering Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia, and has been relatively spared of significant attacks. Our staff and volunteers in Vilkhivtsi and the Czech Republic rely on local contacts to deliver humanitarian aid across the border in coordination with local village administrations.
With the aim of supporting humanitarian needs during the war on Ukraine, we are asking for support for the campaign of AEPJ member Heritage Springs which is assisting Ukrainian refugees arriving in cities in the Zakarpattia Oblast, bordering Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia, by coordinating with local village administrators to deliver cross-border aid.
Heritage Springs is an independent non-profit tax-exempt Organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code

We hope that you will join us and will consider making a donation. We will continue to work with our partners in Poland to bring food, medicine, and clothing to the border crossings and assist in settling Ukrainian refugees around the country.
