The AEPJ is set to host an Inspiring EDJC Session on Thursday, June 20th, at 16:00 CET. This online event will feature Luca Baraldi, an expert in cross-cultural analysis and strategic intelligence, who will explore the connection between last year’s festival theme, Memory, and this year’s focus, Family.
Paul Valéry’s profound assertion that “memory is the future of the past” will serve as a foundation for Baraldi’s discussion. The session aims to delve into the intricate relationship between social and individual memory, examining how collective and personal dimensions interact. Additionally, it will address the dynamic between the binding legacy of the past and the liberating opportunities of the future, emphasizing the responsibility of memory.
Baraldi will guide participants through an exploration of the active role memory plays in defining identities and how the family acts as a bridge between personal and social history. He will highlight the family as a critical space that generates, preserves, and nurtures memories, and inspires aspirations. The discussion will also consider the family and domestic intimacy as a realm of rituals that give meaning to the flow of time, linking past and future.
Luca Baraldi’s extensive background includes over 15 years of experience in cultural analysis within the geopolitical field. His research spans social imaginary making, the interplay between politics and information manipulation, strategic communication, business intelligence, religious radicalization, and narrative theories. Since 2018, Baraldi has focused on the digital economy and the cognitive impact of artificial intelligence on society and culture. He currently advises various research centers and companies on digital humanities, artificial intelligence, information manipulation, and conspiracy theories.
Baraldi is also well-known for his work on Jewish heritage, history, and thought, having conducted numerous international conferences to promote the vital role of Jewish culture in European and global development. A TEDx speaker on critical thinking and artificial intelligence, he contributes to Atlantis magazine on geopolitical analysis and Mangrovia magazine on cultural evolution. He is currently writing a book on cognitive enhancement technologies, neuroethics, and the evolution of knowledge.
The EDJC encourages all coordinators and organizers to actively participate in this session, which aims to provide valuable insights in preparation for the upcoming festival. The event promises to be an enriching experience that connects the themes of Memory and Family, offering a deeper understanding of their significance.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 20th, at 16:00 CET, and join Luca Baraldi for this inspiring session.
