Building on the success of last year's online and in-person Culinary Evening between the Jewish communities of Magdeburg and Kiryat Motzkin, this project will preserve the family stories and traditional recipes shared by participants in a bilingual cookbook.
The main activity of the project will be a community event and public book launch in Magdeburg, organized together with the Landesverband Jüdischer Gemeinden Sachsen-Anhalt, the Synagogen-Gemeinde zu Magdeburg, the Freiwilligenagentur Magdeburg, and other actors committed to promoting and preserving Jewish life in Magdeburg. Partner organizations from the twin cities of the Landeshauptstadt Magdeburg will also be invited to participate and contribute to this intercultural exchange.
The event will bring together participants, representatives of the Jewish community, partner organizations, and the wider public to celebrate Jewish culture, traditions, and intergenerational family heritage through food and storytelling.
