On September 15, 2023, after sundown, Jews will begin celebrating this year's Rosh Hashanah, or Jewish New Year. At the same time, they will enter the year 5784. According to the Jewish calendar, Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of Tishri (the seventh month of the Jewish calendar), and with it begins the 10-day period until Yom Kippur (the day of atonement or the holiday of reconciliation, repentance and forgiveness ), in which the individual should, among other things, take a thorough look at himself and reflect on his past actions and what kind of person he wants to be. The reception on Rosh Hashanah 2023 in the Graz synagogue will be brightened up by the Israeli-German musician, singer and songwriter Yael Nachshon Levin with an accompanying band.

With the day of Jewish culture / Jiddis Kulturális Fesztivál, which the organizers named A Bisale Mazl or A piece of happiness / Egy kis mázli, in Šalovci and Domanjševci they will revive the memory of Jewish families who once lived in the area of today's Šalovci Municipality. The one-day event will start at 12:00 in front of the municipal building at the address Šalovci 161, at the place where special commemorative cobblestones (also stumbling blocks or originally Stolpersteine) were laid in 2022 in memory of Šalovci Jewish photographer Juli Gyula Schönauer and his family. Toni Costa és pianista i improvisador. Amb un perfil artístic agresolat es forma en música clássica i antiga així com en jazz i músiques d’arrel. És pianista acompanyant de dansa a l’IEA Oriol Martorell de Barcelona y col•labora amb el Ballet de l’òpera de Ginebra i el Ballet de l’òpera de Lió, entre altres. Paral•lelament, desenvolupa projectes com a solista en relació a la memòria històrica, revitalitzant músiques antigues i posant en valor el patrimoni cultural del seu país.

Light, hope, love is a unique intimate tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution, which was created as a musical project of three internationally renowned music creators – academic violinist and professor of music Inga Ulokina, renowned musicologist, composer and pianist Olga Ulokina and soprano Marina Igritske. The music program that visitors can listen to at the concert includes a selection of works by great masters of classical music, mostly of Jewish roots, such as Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Jacques Offenbach, Ernest Bloch and Joseph Achron – composers who expressed the motif of hope, love in their works and lights.

„Echo of the Synagogues” is the latest initiative of Pantograf Association that brings to the forefront the stories and emotions surrounding the synagogues.
It consists of a series of 5 concerts that will take place in 5 cities in western Romania: Arad, Timișoara, Reșița, Caransebeș, and Lugoj. Bălănescu Quartet will perform a suite for string quartet and male voice alongside Emanuel Pusztai, the chief hazzan of the Jewish community of Romania.

The musical works are original pieces composed by Alexander Bălănescu, which find their inspiration in the Jewish rituals and the religious prayers that accompany the cycle of life. Alexander Bălănescu adds to these compositions a special personal note – his own experience as a Jew who had to leave Romania during communism.

The House Party at Mietek Weinberg’s is an event that takes place every year by the wall of the tenement house at 66 Żelazna Street in Warsaw – Weinberg’s family home.

Gemeinsam mit dem musikalischen Leiter Patrick Farrell präsentieren die drei Kantorinnen Sveta Kundish, Aviv Weinberg und Rachel Weston ein außergewöhnliches Konzerterlebnis aus Musikstilen und Sprachen. Von traditionellen Khazones, jiddischen Liedern und chassidischen Nigunim bis hin zu moderner Synagogenmusik und hebräischen Melodien feiert dieses Konzert weiblich kantorale Stimmen und die Fortführung der liturgischen Tradition.

Le clarinettiste Hélios Azoulay a écrit un texte de présentation magnifique , inséré dans la réédition d’un ouvrage émouvant pour enfants ” Pour Tommy” écrit par le père de Tommy, avant d’être déporté, et dont l’exemplaire original , trouvé caché dans le camps de Terezin vient d’être déposé au Musée de Berlin

Der Berliner Rabbiner Walter Rothschild, Weltbürger, Autor, Eisenbahn-Spezialist, Unikum, Problem-Bär und Kabarettist erzählt aus seinem Leben und singt leider – pardon: Lieder.

Er ist nicht nur ein außerordentlicher jüdischer Gelehrter, sondern ebenso begnadeter Geschichtenerzähler mit britisch-jüdischem Witz, Charme und Biss. Begleitet wird er vom Komponisten und Pianisten Max Doehlemann am (und unter dem ) Klavier.
Zusammen bringen sie ein witziges, nachdenkliches, in jedem Fall kurzweiliges Programm auf die Bühne.
