Concert by the Preßburger Klezmer Band in the Orthodox synagogue is a unique opportunity for local people as well as tourists to discover our city and Jewish history through extraordinary music experience in synagogue.
The band performs characteristic emotional klezmer music – traditional Jewish melodies sung in Yiddish, Slovak and English are mixed with music from the Balkans and oriental music. The music is complemented by elements of Slovak folk music, interspersed with elements from jazz, rock, reggae and Latin.
The event will be held as part of the summer cultural program themed with cultural and genre diversity.

The Tarazona Tourism Office, part of the City Council of Tarazona, invites you to a special concert on the occasion of the European Day of Jewish Culture.

The ensemble “Hidenisi” presents the Hidenisi Klezmer Experiment – a musical journey that brings the vibrant sounds of Eastern European klezmer to life. With their unique style, “Hidenisi” combines tradition and innovation, creating harmonies that celebrate cultural richness, diversity, and unity through art. Audiences can expect an unforgettable evening of energy, rhythm, and emotion.

This event is open to all: residents of Tarazona, visitors, tourists, and everyone with an interest in Jewish and Sephardic heritage.

Organized by the Tarazona Tourism Office, with the support of the Red de Juderías de España – Caminos de Sefarad (Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters)

The event is part of the Cities Embracing Jewish Heritage initiative supported by the Combat Antisemitism Movement and the European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage

A family lives in this home, a cultural event with an interactive musical performance by Marta Koberski and Larisa Čanji

The cultural and musical event “The family lives in this home” will begin with a welcome address, followed by a 40-minute video projection of commandments and wisdom from the Jewish cultural and religious heritage, which focus on the relationship between a man and a woman, family life and raising children. The projection will be enriched with an interactive musical performance by academic musicians Marta Koberski (flute) and Larisa Čanji (piano), who will perform meditative artistic music of an improvisational character. The author of the event concept is Borut Robič.

Evening of Jewish songs, concert by Béla Szomi and Klemen Juvančič with guests

Béla Szomi was born in Osijek, Croatia, and spent his childhood in the Slovenian village of Čentiba. He finished high school in Murska Sobota and the Pedagogical Academy in Ljubljana. He is known as a passionate musician and the author or co-author of more than two hundred compositions. Among other things, he wrote scores for numerous poems by Slovenian poets, in Slovenian, Hungarian and Romani languages, as well as in the Prekmurje dialect. He has also translated numerous works by the multi-award-winning Hungarian poet Lajos Bence. For twenty-five years, Béla Szomi has also been the program manager and organizer of the ethno-rock festival in Domžale, and at the same time the founder of this musical direction.

18.00–20.00: “Almonds and Raisins”, evening of chansons with Vita Mavrič and the Kvartet Akord. The programme will begin with an introductory address by the President of the Hungarian Self-Governing National Community of Pomurje, Dušan Orban, and a dance performance by children from a bilingual kindergarten in Domanjševci.

20.00–22.00: “Evening of Jewish Music”, concert by Isabel Frey (Vienna, Austria) and the Styrian Klezmore Orchestra (Graz, Austria). The introduction to the musical evening will be accompanied by an address speech by Sonja Reiser-Weinzettl, director of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Ljubljana. The programme will be moderated by the television journalist Igor E.

Konzert Trio Heymann – Das gibt’s nur einmal

»Das gibt’s nur einmal« ist ein Bühnenprogramm, das dem deutschjüdischen Komponisten Werner Richard Heymann (1896 -1961) frönt. Er hat berühmte Tonfilmschlager wie »Ein Freund, ein guter Freund«, »Das gibt’s nur einmal« oder »Irgendwo auf der Welt« geschrieben. Zeitlose Hits, die das Herz berühren, den Geist zum Schmunzeln bringen und dessen Melodien nicht aus dem Kopf gehen wollen. Die international renommierten Sänger Helena Goldt und Atrin Madani interpretieren Heymanns wunderbares Liedrepertoire aus Operettenhits, Chansons und Tonfilmschlagern auf eine erfrischend junge und verliebte Art und werden begleitet vom fantasievollen All- Around-Virtuosen Tal Balshai am Piano.

Das Konzert wird durch die Stadt Seesen organisiert. Die Veranstaltung ist Teil der Jüdischen Kulturtage zwischen Harz und Heide, die 2024 zum fünften Mal stattfinden.
