This time we will visit Polabí, which, thanks to its high population density, provided good business opportunities for the Jewish community. At the time of the Theresian repressions, Polabie became an asylum for many Jewish families expelled from Prague. We will visit the cemeteries of Postřižín, Spomyšl, Brandýs, the large and important cemetery in Mladá Boleslav, and also a small, almost forgotten cemetery in Bosyně, whose mystery remains unsolved.

Musical Instruments in the Bible

Music was a common part of ancient Hebrew life, associated with worship of the Lord, war and social events. Probably the most famous Hebrew instrument was the shofar, and King David also made famous the kinnor stringed instrument, but the rich instrumentation is far from over.
What other musical instruments accompanied Israel in biblical times? The Bible itself provides the basis of knowledge, supplemented by archaeology and comparative ethnomusicology.
