En la época de las Altas Fiestas es tradición visitar los cementerios para honrar a nuestros antepasados. Desde hace unos años, como colectivo también visitamos el antiguo cementerio de Montjuïc donde, a primera vista, no hay rastros visibles.
En 2009 fue declarado Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional y falta aportar significado.
Por eso nos reunimos en este solar para renovar nuestro compromiso con el principio de Kavod HaMet: “ofrecer al difunto el respeto y el honor adecuados”, una tradición milenaria que se había interrumpido después de 1391, cuando los ataques anti judíos resultaron en la desaparición de la comunidad.
Sabemos que, bajo nuestros pies, bajo arbustos y raíces, yacen miembros de nuestra extensa familia judía. Y con nuestra acción volvemos a tejer el alma del lugar con el paisaje que naturalmente se ha generado.
