A reading of the Auschwitz Trilogy and a visit to the tomb of Primo Levi in Turin led Alexandra Genís to conceive this project that reflects on the link between the death of the Piedmontese writer and his writing. The author herself uses charcoal, black ink, white ink, bleach or lemon juice on different types of paper.
Synagogues represented in the lithographs had been landmarks in the landscape of many cities. They were an architectural and cultural heritage, but they were destroyed, or transformed for other uses. Although some photographs have been preserved and there are artworks of depicting them, most of them exist only in memory.
"Synagogues, architectures of memory" evokes those spaces that, in the past, welcomed Jewish communities from all over Europe. The exhibition follow their traces and travels, with them, the paths of a collective history and memory.
„Echo of the Synagogues” is the latest initiative of Pantograf Association that brings to the forefront the stories and emotions surrounding the synagogues.
It consists of a series of 5 concerts that will take place in 5 cities in western Romania: Arad, Timișoara, Reșița, Caransebeș, and Lugoj. Bălănescu Quartet will perform a suite for string quartet and male voice alongside Emanuel Pusztai, the chief hazzan of the Jewish community of Romania.
The musical works are original pieces composed by Alexander Bălănescu, which find their inspiration in the Jewish rituals and the religious prayers that accompany the cycle of life. Alexander Bălănescu adds to these compositions a special personal note – his own experience as a Jew who had to leave Romania during communism.

Podczas spotkania "Alfabet hebrajski: więcej niż litery – kultura i historia", przyjrzymy się nie tylko technicznej stronie alfabetu, ale także zrozumiemy, jak głęboko wpłynął on na kształtowanie tożsamości, wierzeń i wartości żydowskich na przestrzeni wieków.

Das Vertep, also die Krippe, ist nicht traditionell, denn es enthält keine Worte, sondern nur Musik – Lieder, die auf biblischen Texten und Weihnachtsliedern basieren. Das staatliche Puppentheater in Charkiw präsentiert mit „Vertep“ eine mystische Form des Puppenspiels in einer neuen Lesart, mit den Mitteln des Objekttheaters.

Die Halberstädter Stadttopografie erlaubt es uns noch heute, die Geschichte der Jüdinnen:Juden als einer religiösen Minderheit in der Stadt beispielhaft für den deutschsprachigen Raum nachzuvollziehen. Beim „Stadtrundgang durch das jüdische Halberstadt“ wird gezeigt, wie Jüdinnen:Juden in Halberstadt lebten und als aktive Bürger:innen die Stadt mitgestalteten.
